Not within ADSM, but you can use the AIX tapeutil utility (make sure
the concomitant driver is installed with the robot) or, of course,
these robots can be programmed with their own command set. Just time
the cleanings when ADSM is inactive.

Has anyone determined a way to automatically schedule a tape cleaning
cycle in a SCSI robot?
I will be installing a DLT robot (TTi Q47) in a lights out environment
for exclusive use by ADSM on an AIX platform.
I have found no way within ADSM to trigger a tape cleaning. Does anyone
have a procedure or program that can accomplish this automatically from
within ADSM or from AIX?
