means that Info Week had the (gasp) wrong date in their article?    :-)>

Jerry, the Oracle Backup Agent is available on the ADSM external ftp server
for test and evaluation purposes only.  It's not an official beta program, but
it is there for people to try.  It is part of the api in the AIX 2.1.5 client,
so when you install the api as part of the client install you will get OBA.
There is still on-going testing, so it is not GA yet.  When it becomes GA
later in the year, it will become a priced feature.  The copy on the ftp
server is provided at no-charge.

The SQL-BackTrack product for Oracle is GA, so if you are looking for
a solution on AIX, SUN, or HP today, it is available.

It is only for AIX right now.  Other platforms are being considered, such
as HP and Sun....input on your priorities are welcome, and it is even better
if your IBMer can enter it formally on the REQUEST system on HONE.
