We're trying to install Win_31 clients (tried both 2.1.03 & 2.1.05) w/
PCSupport 5250 DOS routers. Each time we get the following errors:
09/23/1996 09:49:02 PcsOpen: Error unable to allocate conversation, rc: 78
09/23/1996 09:49:02 WhichPcsRcMsg: 400 APPC rc EHNAPPC_PCSWINOutOfMemory
(78)
09/23/1996 09:49:02 sessOpen: Failure in communications open call. rc: -418
09/23/1996 09:49:02 Return code -418 unknown
Machines run between 495K and 510K conventional memory w/ all TSRs in place;
Windows > 77% and memory/swapfile > 15 Mb available. I suspect a conflict
masquerading as "out of memory".
DSM.OPT communications parameters:
* PC Support/400 or Client Access/400
COMMmethod 400comm
400Partnerluname <SYSTEM_NAME>
400Tpname QANRTP.QADSM
400Commbufferbytes 8192
400Sendbufferbytes 8192
We don't get the errors w/ Client Access for Windows/Rhumba clients. We've
opened a ticket w/ IBM, but are hoping to hear from someone w/ similar
experience.
