After ADSM is finished with a tape, it stays mounted for
the MOUNTRETENTION period defined ( or defaulted ) in the
device class definition. After that time period has elapsed,
ADSM ejects the tape. You can change the retention period
with the following command:
 update devclass classname mountretention=xxx

where classname is the name of your tape device class and
xx is the number of minutes to leave the tape mounted.
