Diane,
        There's a good ADSM NDS backup and recovery guide on the anonymous FTP
server Index.storsys.ibm.com.  You should be able to exclude NDS
entries... just remember that NDS entries are case sensitive....

Exclude DIRECTORY:/.O=Clear/.O=Clear.OU=Backup/.../*
