This is not very convienent for files archived from shared directories on a
LAN Server file server.

How can a Windows user recover files from a home directory if the directory
is either archived or backed up by a client running on the server, ie if
there is a scheduler client running on the server and performing jobs?

I did check out your info and you are correct that from a windows computer
I cannot see drives on the OS/2 workstation.
