NT client "set access" question
1996-07-16 10:51:05
Hi,
I'm using the 32-bit windows client, version 2.1.0.3.
I have a client running Windows NT 3.51 and I want to give
access to restore the files to another client.
I want the client "test95" to be authorized to access the files
in the directory C:\NEWT that have been backed up by the
NT client "centaurus". The label of drive C: is "centaurus_c".
Using dsmc on the NT client I can enter the command
dsmc> set access backup c:\newt\* test95
and it works. Using the GUI I open the menu Utilities ->
Set authorization -> Add
and I fill in the form:
Node Name: test95
Drive: C:
Label: centaurus_c
Directory: \NEWT
Filename: *
This always produces the warning message
ANS7509W Drive and/or volume label do not exist.
None of the existing drives and labels are accepted! The only
possibility is to use the wildcard * for the drive and the
label.
The same ADSM client version installed on a Windows 95 client
works fine!
Is this a known problem? What can I do?
Thanks in advance,
