Joseph,

We are currently using Warp and Warp connect as client platforms
for ADSM V2R1. The product is quite stable and runs well. TCP/IP
V3.0 for OS/2 (included with Connect) is dramatically faster than
the version included with Warp (2.0).

Client systems all have at least 16 MB of RAM and run archive jobs
monthly and backup weekly.

Our server system is now running on the WarpServer platform. Our
server is the V1R2.9 product. The WarpServer platform uses a
distinct version of Warp that is somewhere between Warp and
Connect. There have been changes made to the kernel to improve
networking performance. For example the graphics engine and
printing engine have been modified.

We have found this platform to be reasonably stable. The inclusion
of TCP/IP V3.0 on the server has improved our performance by
approximately 70%. I don't have any numbers on NetBIOS
performance, but the inclusion of NetBIOS V5.0 in WarpServer
should also give us dramatic improvements. Gee, I sound like an
advertisement.

A bit of advice would be to put the server, database, and recovery
log in a partition separate from OS/2. This will make it much
easier to update the OS in the future.

A second suggesstion would be to mirror you r DB and recovery
logs. It chews up a little disk space but it really is worth it.

Pleae direct e-mail through the listserver so everyone can benefit
from any discussion.
