I see the same 0 on q filespace for netware clients.... but the
straight incrementals we have been running HAVE BEEN BACKING UP ALL
THE DATA... we have even redefined a data disk and restored 73,000+
files.... If I were you I would just use the command line and fill in
the name if you know it... I have heard of and seen cases where gui's
don't list some files and also where line mode with the -pick has left
some out BUT the files have always been backed up and available for
restore on a "as requested basis" give it a try...

I have a fairly serious and urgent problem.
All suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I have been backing up a particular Netware 4.x server
for several weeks (the logs show that many files are
in fact being backed up). Even the dsmaccnt.log file shows
what I believe are accurate times and volumes of data.
The error log even shows some errors on open files.
The problem I have is that I cannot seem to restore ANY
file to this server. In the GUI under nodes and "show
storage" usage I see a big 0. I have checked other
Netware servers, and in under "show storage" I can see
values other than 0.
But to the contrary, I have log files that show files
being backed up, and I even dumped a complete listing
of all files in the backuppool, and the file I require
is listed. When I issue a "que filespace ism-notes1 f=d"
I also see all of the volumes listed, with the last
backup start/end times being yesterday.
If I try to restore from another node and platform using
the FROMNODE option (NT gui), I do not even see any
indication that a single file has been backed up.
How can I restore files if ADSM has them, but
will not show that the volumes have been backed up?
The server platform is AIX 4.1 The client is Netware 4.x
