We work on a RS/6000 and have a 7331-tapelibrary with two
tape-drives. The tape-devices were originally configured on AIX as:
/dev/smc0 tape-library
/dev/rmt0 /dev/rmt1 tape-drives
With ADSM the devices are configured as:
/dev/lb0 tape-library
/dev/mt0 /dev/mt1 tape-drives
We removed the definitions for smc0 and rmt* out of AIX using smit.
When we reboot, the AIX-devices pop up again. When we run
"diag" the ADSM-devices seem not to be configured.
But when we look at the devices: AIX- AND ADSM-devices are available
at the same scsi-address AND usable!!!!!
Any ideas?
