TCP-IP performance improvements?
1996-04-15 05:16:20
I'm new at this list (looked (time-consuming!) at the archives of
this mail-list) and I have a question:
We have an RS/6000 J30 with an 7331 tape library.
When I make a full incremental backup on the node to the 8mm-tape the
performance is 66 MB/min.
When I backup un AIX-RS/6000 node (C10) over a 10Mb/s-network, I get
a performance of 11 MB/min.
I tuned the following parameters:
TCP-Buffersize 32
TNXMAXGROUP max
TNXBYTELIMIT max
Are there any suggestions for speeding up the TCP-IP performance (or
even the local performances) I would like to know!
Thanx in advance,
Rita Groothuizen
