By chance, was it that the files got their permissions restored and
the directories didn't, but only in cases where ADSM was creating
the restored directory?  We found the same problem.  It's not a bug
but a "feature" and it matters whether you restore by path or by
filename spec.  I don't remember which is which, but one works as
you would expect and the other sets all of the directories it
creates to be owned by whatever userid ran the restore.
