We are running ADSM V2.1 on AIX 3.2.5.

The tape drive in our Exabyte EXB10e library medium changer is defect and the
 volumes in the library are not readable by this device anymore.

Our question is how to move and read the volumes from an IBM 7331 - 205
mediumchanger. We configured the new device and are able to do the library
operations like audit library, but the device cannot read the tapes. Doing
AUDIT LIBRARY the following error occurs for each tape:

  03/06/1996 15:28:56  ANR8457I AUDIT LIBRARY: Operation for library EXB10ELIB
                      started as process 8.
  03/06/1996 15:30:06  ANR8302E I/O error on drive EXB10EDRIVE (/dev/mt0)
                      (OP=READ, CC=305, KEY=04, ASC=44, ASCQ=00).

We tried to do a restore of a file on one volume, but the operation failed
with the same error as above.

Any hints are highly appreciated.
