SCSI Library Errors
1996-02-15 16:36:05
I get a single error in the system error log everytime ADSM mounts a tape
from the scsi library. The error always occurs 55 seconds before ADSM
successfully mounts the tape. The error is as follows:
Resource Name: lb0
Resourece Class: library
Resource Type: ADSM-SCSI-LB
Description: OPERATOR INTERVENTION REQUIRED
Probable Cause: ATTACHED SCSI TARGET DEVICE
I'm running ADSM/6000 v 2.1 and the library device is a Lago LS-380L
datawheel. The tapes are always mounted correctly, I just keep getting this
annoying error. The ADSM Device Configuration doc says the library should
be set to "random" mode, but I can't find how to verify the mode. Any ideas
on what might be causing this error?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
