He should be doing what is called Client-polling within a schedule.   The
schedule being the one he is asigned to.   The server  should have the
scheduling mode equal any, that will allow both Server-Prompted
Scheduling and Client-polling.   The Client polling will allow this kind of
backup before ADSMs actual schedule is going to run
(Server-Promtped).     Jane

We have a user who wants an "instant" backup of his data when he
puts a = new file on a Unix server backed up by ADSM.  Is there a way
to do this?  =
