IBM support has directed me to investigate this as a NetWare access
rights issue, but our onsite NetWare support staff disagrees since ArcServe
has successfully backed up the same files.

Has anyone encountered this?  Can any of you direct me so as to get ADSM to
back up these files?  We're using ADSM 2.1.  --Diane

ADSM uses an API supplied by Novell to access data on NetWare servers.
This API does not let us read data sets such as print queues which are
opened in such a way that read attempts are denied to other programs.
ArcServe does not necessarily use the same API, which may explain their
success in reading the datasets.

I believe that the print queues are typically the only files that are opened
in such a manner.
