i would not recommend ever using anything before 2.0.4
the upgrade from 2.0.4 to 2.0.6 is free.
we have been installing 2.0.6 on a variety of machine with no failures.
i know of NO reasons to not upgrade and several reasons to upgrade.

Susan McClure asks if Macs need the latest TCP/IP. There are known problems
with ADSM and versions of Mac/TCP before 2.0.4. I don't know of any major
problems with later versions of Mac/TCP; having said this, of course, one
will bite us on tonight's Mac backups ;). Susan, what version of MacTCP
does the problem machine use?
