Have you considered using the MOVE DATA command to move the data from the
emptiest platters back to the disk storage pool??

I am running ADSM Version 1, Release 2, Level 9.

I am using the IBM 3995-A63 optical library as my mass storage.
My current setup is I have two DISK storage pools that migrate to my
3995-A63.

My problem. My 3996-A63 is not doing reclamation. The 3995-A63 is treated
as a SEQUENTIAL access device. According to IBM ADSM support, the A63 can
not do reclamation because it only has ONE drive.

So, I have a 20GB storage spool that is only 30% full but 100% usless
because it can not reclamate unused area on the flopdicals.

According to IBM, what I have to do is replace some flopdicals with empty
ones to continue. And, I have to manually delete a 100% reclamable
flopdical and add it back into ADSM.

Has anyone found a better way?
