Paul, no, I didn't mean to imply that.  You can install an ADSM HSM client
on an NFS server and space manage the local NFS server space.  The NFS
server can still export to it's clients.  This is a way you can get ADSM HSM
support for non-AIX clients.....if the non-AIX clients are NFS clients to
an AIX NFS server, and you have them put their data they want space-managed
on the NFS server, you will in effect, get space management for those
non-AIX clients.  A new redbook will be available soon that covers this
topic, "ADSM Version 2 Guide", SG24-4532.  I will post here when it is
officially orderable.  Here is how you will be able to get it:
