I'm wondering about how much cross processor support we are going to
see from the ADSM team in supporting multiple processors for some of the
existing clients.

It's been some time now and the Macintosh client still doesn't provide
native support for the PowerPC chip (I can't imagine that being a major
undertaking, although I have been known to be wrong before). I know
I would appreciate the potential increase in performance, especially
since we run with compression on for all of our clients.

I see that Microsufts is going to be able to provide an OS for the PC
version of the PowerPC chip based machines before IBM can get OS/2 out
for it. Will there be support from ADSM for the PC PowerPC systems
for Microsufts products as well as OS/2? (I catch so much flak from
the Micro-weenies about OS/2 being second......)

On a more current note, will the release of the NT client for Intel
systems be followed by a release for NT on Alpha? We already have two
of these NT/Alpha boxes (See all you have to do to give NT really good
performance is throw a 275MHz Alpha w/128MB of memory at it...geeez)
and will be getting several more servers and a couple of dozen
workstations on Alpha. Considering the Digital/Microsufts announcements
and agreements of late for cross-support/product development (Exchange-
ALL-in-1, etc...) I'd say it's a good chance you'll see many more of
these Alpha boxes. Then again, I'm also just _whining_ for support.
I think I'll quit now.
