Is there a good procedure to copy 8mm tape used by adsm in a
shell environment on unix.

I'd like to know copy tape used by ADSM on sheel environment to
keep a copy from a tape.

i try manually these commands :
     dd if=/dev/mt0.1 of=/dev/mt1.1
        answer 3 records copied
     dd if=/dev/mt0.1 of=/dev/mt1.1
        answer 94 records copied
     dd if=/dev/mt0.1 of=/dev/mt1.1
        answer 4 records copied
     dd if=/dev/mt0.1 of=/dev/mt1.1
        read error ( I suppose that eot )

After this operation put the new tape in adsm storage pool. I do
Audit vol xxxxxx

The label is copied correctly, adsm recognize the tape, but all
files are irretrivable on the new tape.


Can you help me . I'd like to know how i can do this operation.
