Hello,

I am seeing a lot of good discussion on 8mm tapes vs. 3590 Magstar
cartridge drives ... the new one from IBM.

Does anyone have any experience with 4mm DAT technology and can someone
make any comparisons or comments here? The 3590 is new technology and we
have yet to see how the market place accepts it? The technology is
similiar to Digital Linear Technology drives that did not get accepted
very well in the market place. Perhaps because of DEC's proprietary stand.

Would love to hear any comments. Thank You.
