Please excuse my lack of education in the RS/6000 arena - I am one of those
MVS wierdos that is being thrust into the "Brave new world".....

I have a large scale application on an RS/6000 with large Oracle Data Bases.
Some of the machines have in excess of 90G of DASD associated with them.  We
are looking at doing backups with ADSM, using the service offering to attach
the STK silos to the RS/6000 directly.  One concern we have is throughput, as
the window for backups is limited.  (We have discussed the Data Tools
incremental backup product, but it is not yet available, and we are not ready
yet, either. )

Does anybody have any idea what kind of throughput I can expect?  Is anyone
running a similar setup?  If you have a "Large" application that you are
backing up with ADSM, how big is it?
