Tim,

Currently, the incremental process can detect changes to the root directory
trustee rights but not the volume restrictions.  ie if you change the
trustee rights on root, ADSM incremental process will figure it out and
take another backup of the root directory entry.  If you change the volume
restrictions, you have to use the VOLINFO to force ADSM to backup this info.

The current catch is that the VOLINFO only works on selective backups, so
it's not as easy as just adding it to your scheduled incremental; you will
need to schedule selective backups for each volume and slap the VOLINFO
parameter on ...

We have asked development to make it so that the VOLINFO stuff is
automatically backed-up each time the incremental is run; needed or not.
This would be lest painful for administrators and would require minimal
overhead on the backups.  Take a gander at APAR IC08627 for more info on
this.
