| 1) You cannot select a full backup. He is a firm believer in re-saving
| all the data periodically.
|
| 2) There appears to be no way to select a directory (and all its
| sub-directories) to be backed up easily, without having to traverse
| the entire tree manually. (I have to admit, I find this annoying, too).

|Are either of these available, and I'm missing them? Or are they planned for

Is there any way to select a directory and all its subdirectories
from the Windows GUI while displaying a filespace tree?
You can cntl-left-click a directory to select all its files,
but is there a way to select a directory, all its files and
subdirectories and files without having to expand the tree?
Say, Shift-left-click to select a dir and all sub dir's.

And while I'm not the subject, I find the "F"ull directory
indicator in the GUI misleading. Suppose you have the following
tree:

  ADSM
    OPTS1
    OPTS2

ADSM shows the following line in its tree display:
      + | ADSM
and you cntl-left-click, to get:
 F + | ADSM
I would read the F to indicate that everything represented by this
line, the ADSM directory and its subdirectories, has been selected.
When in fact, it has selected only the files in the ADSM
directory, and not in the subdirectories under ADSM.

I think what you really have is:
  P + | ADSM
and if you expand the tree, then:
  F - | ADSM
        | |- OPTS1
        | |- OPTS2
