  ABSTRACT

When using the Mac client with the scheduler and receiving
error message: ADSM is out of memory and cannot continue,
check the version of MacTCP and the ADSM client.

  DETAIL

It has been found that MacTCP Ver 1.1.1 may cause memory
leak problems. The first step for the customer is to
install MacTCP Ver 2.0.2 (available from Apple) and next
to obtain the upgrade for MacTCP Ver 2.0.4 (available on
the internet server - ftp.apple.com) and apply. In many
cases, this has cleared up the problem with the
  memory leak.

There were also a couple minor memory fixes that are
included in version 1.2.0.1 (IP20154) and higher of the Mac
client. The latest version can be obtained from our internet
server at index.storsys.ibm.com or from Library 1, AdStar
Distributed Storage Manager, of the IBMSTORAGE Forum on
CompuServe (GO IBMSTOR or GO ADSM).
