Last Weekend we tried to convert our WDSF/VM database to ADSM.
After conversion ADSM was not able to work correctly with the converted
database, so we had to go back to WDSF.
But I can give you some numbers.
In our WDSF database are 2,615,648 datasets from 160 clients.
They occupied 400,202 pages.
To audit the database we need about 10 hours on a IBM ES9000/620.
The conversion takes 43 (fortythree) hours (without mirroring).
After the conversion the database occupied 315,740 pages.
(WDSF 626 bytes/dataset ADSM 494 bytes/dataset).
After the conversion we get error
ANR9999D AFTXN(833): Cluster occupancy went negative for Volid=434, Ck1=17,
Ck2=5, Poolid=2.
ANR1181E AFTXN171: Data storage transaction aborted
and
ANR0102E DSALLOC(848): Error 1 inserting row in table "DS>Segments".
