Thanks, This does stop the cloning with a failure message which is what I want. I could just kill the nsrclone process also and it cleans up. Unfortutunately, this has to done when nsrclone is hung;

Ed, Yes, to me anyway, 15 to 30 seems a fairly large number. Sounds like you need something like backup to disk then clone/stage to tape. Some of the advantages would be Fast access (well certainly n

All, I had jumped on this thread (sorry) with an issue with my nsrclones hanging when a SCSI write error was encountered. I did find the source of my write errors to be one drive. Still, it would see

Good question.. First my sentence should have read "nsrclone can hang indefinitely reading the source tape if there is a write error on the target tape." I did have the target tape drive replaced aft

So, this may not be appropriate...so I'll ask for forgiveness now...but if you had a virtual tape library system in place, then you would increase the reliability of your cloning and thus reduce the

Hi. We're gonna start cloning tapes and storing them offsite. However, Legato's documentation about how such cloning(and recovering) works is kinda...lackluster IMO. Does anyone know of any site/doc

Hi Johan! Cloning is often done with handmade, site-specific clone-scripts. How to setup a clone-script is not documented in admin-guide, cause this is made on your own supervision and responsibility
