Good morning,

I apologize for such short wording and don't mind the "white" node.

After I sent my email yesterday, we witnessed a remote site router go "white" in Netview. All downstream nodes were still green (working as designed).  The parent map turned red to alert us that there was a problem in a submap.

Before we experienced this I was reading and interpreting (incorrectly) that a parent map would not change color to alert the service desk folks that there was a problem with a device on a submap.

Thank you for your continued support,

White means unreachable and it is not my fault. The router causing the problem will be red, or yellow if it is only one interface causing the problem.
I would be cautious about messing with this. Probably if you use more words, I can figure out what you are really asking and make a suggestion.
Feel free to try again.

[NV-L] RFI - no color propagation

Hello,

With NV 7.1.5 on AIX, I have enabled RFI, netmon -K1 mode.  I have read some documentation in the NV manuals and other NV users' email from this site.

Is there no way to propagate the white color of a downed router in a submap to the home map?

Thank you,
