James,
The version is 7.1.4
on AIX platform, I have installed the CISCO-EPM-NOTIFICATION-MIB in order to
receive any alert from access points.
With mib2trap and addtrap utility I was
added these traps and I am writing a shell script in order to extract the snmp
fields which I need.
I have configurate the WLSE to send the
notification trap to Netview, I have seen into trapd.log these ones arrived
which another Cisco tcpConnectionClose.
The OID is correct.
Thanks in advance
Giovanni
You did not mention what version of NetView you have nor what
operating
system.
NetView for UNIX has always received SNMPv2c traps
with no special set up.
You can define the trap manually with xnmtrap
or get the vendor's MIB(s)
which define(s) them and use mib2trap to create an
addtrap script to define
them to trapd.
On Windows, with NetView 7.1.4
you have to reconfigure trapd to not use the
Microsoft trap service.
With 7.1.5 it installs that way. Once again you
can use mib2trap on the
vendor's MIB(s) or define the trap manually with
trap.exe
