Yes Leslie, your responses are getting through. Something seems odd though
since I haven't seen my own response to this yet.
I agree with you that nvdbformat has performance issues (among other things
like unnecessary blank lines) compared to using the speed of the nvUtil
command. However, nvdbformat does make it easy to create customized and
formatted reports with sorting and grouping capabilities, along with
relatively easy to follow logic and a sort of sub-querying of related
objects (which admittedly may be doable with nvUtil, I just haven't tried
it). At least this has been my experience.

In my experience, nvdbformat performs horribly for that kind of query.
I would use nvUtil.
nvUtil e '(isInterface=True)' '%Selection Name%,%IP Address%,%SNMP
ifPhysAddr%'
This returns a comma-separated list containing:
node:iflabel, ip address of the interface, mac of the interface
