hi!

it probably depends on how you use the TEC.

if you use the TEC for System-Management "for all its worth"
you should stick with it.

if you use the TEC for pure Event Correlation with a Network-Management
add-on, you might want to ask for a (cross-)upgrade to either
Omnibus+WebTop+IPM (L3) or Omnibus+WebTop+Precision (L2+3).

PS: we bought Riversoft (now Precision) in 2002 and where happy to
  receive Omnibus after the Micromuse buyout.
