Hello,

Thanks for that indication.

I found many options witch can degrade especially the netmon performance (e.g. -Q launch parameter), or the trapd deamon (-m associate  number maybe smaller than the -a's , but with no real estimation ?). Any idea ?

Else, any bad experience with the Ping Spray option (ping timeout maybe be adjust to resolve them, I'm not sure it's the right way) ?

Our gurus are on holiday.

Check out the Programmer’s Reference for the Windows version of NetView when you are looking for this kind of detail.

For the Windows version the flags tell the Trapd process to not log the traps but to put them in the ODBC database (Access in your instance).  The database is to be purged when it reaches 5000 events and it’s base size is 1000 events.

[nv-l] Launching parameters

Hello bis,

Is anyone able to give me the sense of the default launching parameters of the following command :

trapd.exe -n -z -a 5000 -m 1000

Any help welcomed and appreciated.

N.B. : NetView for Windows v7.1.4 FP1 and DB = Windows 2000 Server's , access format

Best regards,

Denis
