I
can't answer managing Optivity from the NV server, but you will need to at least
load Contivity traps into NV for him to process them correctly. You don't have
to load the Contivity MIBs unless you want to be able to run MIB applications,
collect data, or walk the devices from NV.

I want to
Install Optivity 10.1 NMS on a different server which has NV 7.1.4.
I will
configure Optivity to send the traps to NV.
Questions:
1) Do I still need mibs for Nortel devices to be install on
NV.
2) Can I
mangae Optivity through NV.
Remember
they are on different servers.
