Re: [nv-l] NV on RH Linux

Support for 7.1.4 on RH AS 3.0 is currently
planned at the FixPack 2 level. Because of significant differences
in the base 7.1.4 level and that required for 7.1.4.2 on SLES 9 and RH
3.0, the current plan is for a new cd (or its image), at the 7.1.4.2
level, to be added to the full product kit. Other platforms will
only need the FixPack (image). We are still working on the requirements,
considerations, and procedures to guide a migration, e.g., from 7.1.4.1
or lower, on RH AS 2.1 or lower to 7.1.4.2 on RH AS 3.0. If anyone
falls into this category, I'd like to hear that from you.
We cannot be definite on availability
because the verification cycle is variable and there is always the potential
for significant impact from unforseen issues, plus all the usual caveats
and disclaimers i.e., no plan is a promise or implied deliverable, etc.,
<wink wink> ;-)
I hope this additional information can
help you in your planning and look forward to your feedback on any migration
requirements you forsee.

Geo.

Hello!
Anyone tried using NV 7.1.4 on RedHat AS version 3? I have 7.1.3
fp2
running on RHAS 2.1. If so, how does it work? Any problems?
Thanks.
Mahesh
