RE: [nv-l] Mib are unable to load

Well, you can load SNMP V2 MIBs using either the java loader of the web client or loadmibv2, and then using the corresponding browser, the one in the web client, browser2, to query agents which can respond to those MIBS.
But this will not help you with traps. To obtain trap definitions from MIBs for NetView, you must run mib2trap against the MIBs and then run the resulting output file, a script containing addtrap commands, to update trapd.conf. mib2trap will analyze V2 MIBs and produce proper output to update trapd.conf.
But there is one big caveat here. NetView for Windows does not accept traps in SNMP V2 format, only SNMP V1. This is no problem for Cisco devices which can be configured to send either kind, but I do not know about the others. If they send only V2 traps, then you will never see them in NetView for Windows. They will be discarded as invalid.

The devices for which we want the mibs to be installed are Laser device (from lightpoint), Peribit (for data compression) and Cisco Wireless Access points.
These devices are sending the traps but cannot be understand by the Netview. These traps are important for us to know the compression rate, availability (though can be known by polling),
Unuthorized access, and many more.

Your problems is that this is an SNMP Version 2 MIB -- Module Identity is an SNMP V2-only construct -- but you are using an SNMP V1-only loader. You can use either the Java MIB loader in the web client or loadmibv2, the stand-alone V2/V1 loader in NetView for Windows. Or you can contact the vendor and ask them for an SNMP V1 version of the MIB. The latter would be a better alternative, depending on what you hope to accomplish by loading the MIB.
So the question becomes, "Why are you loading this MIB?" What are you hoping to do with it once it is loaded?

Unless you'd prefer to call IBM Support and get personal help, I suggest you tell us just
what errors you got so that someone might make a guess as to what might be wrong.
What loader command did you use and what error messages did you see?
