We have actually discussed just that thing. We are getting a lot of traps
and most of them we don't care about so that would be a great idea. I am
going to bring it up AGAIN with the powers that be.

Scott,
Have you ever thought about installing an MLM on your NetView server....and
only use it as a trap filter. (or, on a second machine) If NetView is
receiving traps that you don't care about, this is a great way to filter
them before trapd sees them. Also, you can setup some thresholds to
alert you of trap storms and to tell you a bit better where they are coming
from.
