Hello, List;
I have problem once again. This is my first project involing NetView and during
the process of configure for my customer, I met a lot of questions. Some of
these question might be silly becuase of my being new to NetView. If there are
any confusion caused by my question, I am sorry for that.
Here is my question:
Netview7.1.3 plus Windows 2000 Server
In their networking enviroment, there are two nokia box with CP . And a cluster
has been configured out of the two nokia boxes. The IP address for one nokia is
172.16.10.131, the other is 172.16.10.132. And the clustered IP address is
172.16.10.130. If I ping each of them constantly under DOS command line, there
is no 'timed out' at all. Things are just perfect. But when I open the event
window, I noticed there are many critical events about the three IP addresses.
And there seems to be a regular interval between the critical events. I have
configured to send a mail to the network adminstrator when there is a critical
event logged in the event and he complained that too many mail alerts about
three IP addresses are sent to him.
1) What cofiguration should I do about a clustered Nokia Boxes so that Netview
can treat them normally?
2) Are there some ways for me to ignor critical events for a specific node
while other critical events are still vaild to trigger nvmail to work?
Thank you and Cheers
