2002-09-26 02:13:10
Hello Netview folks,
we have an urgent problem on our AIX 4.3.3 machine running
Netview V6
During the installation of Optivity Enterprise 9.1 for AIX,
at around 85% of the shown installation time,
the system was no longer functional.
The CPU was apparently at 100%, Idle 0%
The following processes were seen:

We carried out a reboot of the machine and were able to log in
after several hours.
We deleted the whole Optivity stuff to regain access to the machine.
Has anybody on this forum experienced similar nightmares ?
Who knows which Optivity-program is calling all this processes
and how we can solve this problem ?
What is the status of Optivity for AIX ?
Can anybody recommend the usage of this Software on AIX ?
Thank You for any remarks and suggestions.
