Hello,
I did the following: 1 separated the script into 2 parts. One to do the
snmpget and a separate one to do nsupdate8. I also created a ruleset to execute
both:
Event stream--> nv6000 trap (runs the snmpget script)--> action node
(runs the nsupdate8).
So I got errors for the nsupdate8 command. I did what Stephen recommended
using the full path. I tried again, this time I did not get any errors. See
NVACTION.ALOG and trapd.log. However, it did not update the dns file.
I tried also logging on as a regular user and ran the nsupdate8 command
(thinking that maybe that only ROOT could send command) but it worked (from
the command line, of course).
Any other suggestions????
