C5d won't run because it requires that nvcold be running.
Try going to the command line as root and issuing /usr/OV/bin nvcold and
see what kind of an error message you get.

nvevents has nothing to do with those two daemons unless you are running a
custom ruleset which has a Query Collection node in it. That would require
nvcold to be running to execute properly.

Subject: [NV-L] C5d and nvcold don't run

Hi all,

Two daemons: C5d and nvcold don't run and I can't start them.
When I try to execute ovstart -d I get:

object manager name: C5d
 behavior: OVs_WELL_BEHAVED
 state: UNSTARTABLE
 PID: (never run)
 last message:
 exit status: -

 object manager name: nvcold
 behavior: OVs_WELL_BEHAVED
 state: NOT_RUNNING
 PID: 42632
 last message:
 exit status: exit(1)

Does anyone has an idea why?

And another question - sometimes it happens that nvevents display doesn't
refresh. All daemons (except the two above) are running. Is this problem
connected with those daemons?

I have NV ver.5
