Arthur,

you can use a Perl script to do that.   It allows you to write scripts that
can telnet a router.   The site where to download the required Perl modules
is :

        http://www.cpan.org/modules/by-module/Net

there is Net-Telnet-Cisco which you can install as the associated readme
explains to do.
There are functions in there that will help you.

You can also use Ciscoworks if you have it.   The last version allows you to
submit some commands to a given set of routers.
