I too just had a "nasty" with ovtopmd not starting and did as James suggested
by clearing out the databases and starting all over...which indeed worked and
cleared up the problem. (Apparently the cause was that I fired off Optivity's
autotopology discovery process and somehow NetView didn't agree with the
results.)
In any case, the clearing of the databases and rediscovering indeed clears up
ovtompd problems.
