What we do is use the Seedfile (on AIX but it should work the same) and put
the loopback address for the routers for the discovery/dns address.

Subject: Router Interfaces

I'm using Netview for NT 5.1.2

What makes netmon discover a local router's ip serial interface
and assign it the 'object name' over the ethernet ip interfaces?
I did not experience this with my older Netview configuration.

What would I need to do to have it referenced with the ethernet interface
instead of the serial interface?

Many thanks for any help !!!!! And just anybody's welcome to answer my
questions!!
