More than one is started because the assumption is that you will have several
users
These processes are started whenever the netview web-server is started . The
number of these processes can be changed by changing the values for
MinSpareServers ,
and StartServers in file /usr/OV/web/httpd/conf/httpd.conf .
Restarting of these processes can be done with the command nvwebstop and
nvwebstart .

Subject: NetviewWebServer Process

Netview 5.1.1 with Tavve 1.7 on AIX 4.2.1

How many instances of the NetviewWebServer Process should be running? When I
issue a "ps -ef|grep" on the PID that was given after starting the web
server through the menu, the output shows up with several child processes
"/usr/OV/web/httpd/NetViewWebServer".

Thanks in advance
