NV uses DNS to map the IP address of the trap source to a name. If no entry
is in the DNS, you will see the IP address. On Cisco's, you can control
what IP address is sent by the agent via the "snmp-server trap-source"
command. I do not know of a way to do this on NT systems, but I have been
trying to find a way. Does anyone know how to do this on NT systems? This
is not an issue if your managed system has only one IP address or if you map
every address on every system to a DNS name, but it potentially can be if
you do not.

I need change the information displayed on the cards/list on the Control
Desk. We need to display both the IP Hostname and IP address of the node on
the event card when a trap comes in from and agent. Has anyone done this?
