Unmanaging a node only stops Netview from polling, it doesn't stop that node
from sending traps. If you have multiple maps, you need to unmanage the
node in all maps. If it is unmanaged (completely), you should remove
Netview from the trap targets on the node. You shouldn't have to write any
rulesets to stop events from showing up.

OK, I give up. I need to put this out there again.....................I am
running NV4.1 on AIX4.2. I have unmanaged nodes, cut nodes, deleted nodes,
unmanaged and cut/deleted nodes and THEY STILL GET PROCESSED by the event
manager.

I have a ruleset that pages me and sends Email to my group for node down
events and I don't want non-critical nodes to trigger a message. I was told
to just unmanage the nodes and they would not get processed. This hasn't
proven to work. Is there anything else I can do?

Thanks Much
