does anyone know of a way to dump the netview topology, such that
automation could see what is behind what.    for example a tree structure
that would show that you have router1, link1, router2, serv1, server2
(server2 is behind router2 and router1)

I need this in all sorts of correlation work outside Netview and would
rather not rediscover what netview already knows.  For example, I am being
beaten by my operations staff because I cannot turn off paging for all
devices behind a router, for those alerts that are generated by non-NetView
automation.

Can this linkage can be derived from an ovtopodump (upstream hosts?)


any ideas?
