Reggie, it appears we have exactly the same problem. I have actually traced,
"netmon -M 26", and found no traps, ICMP etc. I did " tail -f
/usr/OV/log/netmon.trace" and found that there are no trace records arriving or
generated by netmon.

We are running the same release of the product.

We have found however numerous traps from 8265's saying :

907310896 4 Fri Oct 02 08:48:16 1998 10.0.15.222 A IBM 8260 ATM
- Incorrect community Name from Node: absanv04 (authentication failure Trap)

absanv04 is the Netview node. I have changed both /etc/snmpd.conf and
/usr/OV/conf/ovsnmp.conf with the correct W/R community name for these devices
including the netview node's interfaces. Unfortunately it did not solve my
problem...I maybe missing something obvious...

Can someone shed some ligth on this...?

Thank you...
