IMO, DFSR is a steaming heap of Microsoft proprietaryness and
problems.  First, suggest you check this URL addressing Shadow Copy
backups and path component lengths greater than 256 and/or paths >
1024:

After that, there are dozens of DFSR issues in NetBackup technotes.

The bpbkar log is your friend.
